Chethappam is something which is very sweet. Lets go through the ingredient, you need simple things that is available at  your home like maida, wheat, semolina, sugar, etc and finally oil for frying.
Chethappam is very tasty recipe from Malabar.
Chethappam is a delicious and healthy snack that can be easily made in your home. This would be a great snack with a cup of tea. You can share it with friends during tea time. You can also have it as a snack while watching TV. It’s a best sweet dish which kids will love, after all kids love sweets. It can be stored for a week, so its better you prepare more. It’s so simple to prepare.
My mother would prepare this dish so well, that I just go crazy. I got this recipe from her. Thanks to Mom  I’m sure you all will love this dish because it’s so sweet and yummy.



  1. Mix the ingredients together with your hand and form a dough
  2. Roll out the dough into large circle
  3. Flatten the mixture using a rod by spreading little oil over the mixture
  4. Cut into small sliding pieces using a knife or you can choose your own shapes
  5. You can cut it like the shape of cashew nut by using the lid of bottles.
  6. Heat a fry pan/ curry pan and pour oil in it.
  7. Put the cut pieces into the boiling oil and fry it until it turns brownish color
  8. Remove from the oil and drain out the oil from it
  9. You can place this in an air tight container for more than a week…
