Hummus is a popular Middle East dip made from cooked, mashed chickpeas. Chick peas are one of the most versatile beans that abound in all major nutrients like vitamin A, vitamin C, iron, calcium as well as fibre. This is a healthier version of the traditional hummus that is amide using loads of olive oil.
Well, now let us have a look towards the ingredients; we need garlic- which is good for health, lemon juice, olive and tahina, etc. I would prefer the best dish for a party .This would go with chapatti or any bread if you prefer simple .Serving it at dinner with your guests is an awesome thought, they will love it.
My God, I love this recipe, this so tasty, and not at all spicy, after all its an Arab dish, one of my aunt always prepare this dish for me whenever she came home, me and my brother used to sit together and enjoy it.
If you have never had hummus or don't know what it is, this post will tell you that and please do try making hummus at home .You are going to love it.



  1. Take 1/2 can of chick peas in a bowl and stir.
  2. Add tahina and stir well.
  3. Blend the garlic in a mixer jar.
  4. Add the garlic paste, lemon juice, salt and olive oil and stir well.
  5. You can add olive oil accordingly until it becomes smooth.
  6. Pour it in a serving bowl and have it with warm pita bread.
